Swift announce the largest intake of apprentices in 60 year history

Swift Group has today announced the largest intake of apprentices in its 60 year history.
Over 40 apprentices have joined Swift for a full 3 year apprenticeship in level 2 Engineering Operative, level 3 Engineering Fitter as well as Supply Chain Warehouse Operative. The apprentices are supported by day release training at Hull Training and Adult Education and at the end of year 2 will specialise in their chosen area of the business.
Swift has ambitious growth plans and the apprenticeship scheme will help to supplement the recruitment strategy to not only attract the best talent, but to also grow and develop their own pool of trained and educated young people.

As well as the apprenticeship scheme the company has a scholarship programme where Swift is training their next generation of engineers in conjunction with Sheffield Hallam University on a 4 year day release degree-level fully- funded course.
