Apprenticeships
Do you have a good eye for detail? Have good problem-solving skills? And a desire to work with your hands? Starting in September 2023, we’re offering to train up 30 apprentices, supporting young talent and kick-starting engineering careers with opportunities across our manufacturing operations.
The Level 3 Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship programme will be delivered through HCC Training (Hull Training and Adult Education) and provides a firm foundation for developing highly skilled Manufacturing Technicians throughout our production operations.
Step In Programme
Don’t be what if. Be what next. Our Step In programme focuses on providing new career opportunities to people from outside of our industry.
To ensure our high quality standards are met, all of our Step In recruits are supported with a 6-week comprehensive training programme giving them the confidence they need to hit the ground running.
Applications for our next Step In cohort opens in Autumn 2023.
Supporting our employees health and wellbeing
We've been busy finalising our upcoming Swift Active event Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge, all in aid of our Company Charities Dove House Hospice, and Daisy Appeal. It's had an incredible response from employees all over the business with over 65 registering to take part, making this our most challenging event to date.
Keeping our employees active - we are proud to be supporting our Manufacturing Engineer Simon Guzdek who will be completing the HCPT Cycle 2023. This is a gruelling 550 mile challenge in April followed by 425 miles in the Route Des Grandes Alpes throughout May and June. 2023. We also have teams signed up for the Hull 10K and Half Marathon, and encourage our Cycle to Work scheme.
Employee wellbeing - we recognise that employee wellbeing is not just about physical health, we have also invested in providing trained Mental Health First Aiders and on-site Mental Health Awareness Training for all management.
